Keeping the Creativity Alive!
Creativity is like food to the soul and mind. We as humans need to keep replenishing our creativity on a daily basis. Our mind has the ability to generate ideas, possibilities and entertainment. Staying creative is equivalent to staying youthful. If we learn something new every day, the tendencies in our brain are functioning. Creativity does not mean creating art or a beautiful design, it means making connections, observations, experimenting and asking questions. People tend to limit creativity to just art, but it is an extremely broad skillset that requires a concrete foundation of knowledge.
You need to start somewhere even if it is a small gesture such as, reading a book, conducting conversations with five people per day or asking questions. All of these basic activities help build one’s creative skills. Reading a book helps your mind gain more knowledge, having conversations builds on your communication skills and asking questions shows that you are a curious individual who is fascinated with the way of life. Being creative allows us to liberate the mind. It allows individuals to become more productive and perhaps even limitless in their potential.
Furthermore, every creative individual has a process in order, to bring the progression of thoughts into action. For instance, artists begin with inspiration. Inspiration could come from various places. It could be a flower, a mystical scenery, a movie, or a significant event that once occurred in your life. Each form of inspiration can lead to a beautiful expression. Inspiration precedes the process.
Let’s begin with the concept of creating through sketches. This step allows the artist to visualize the idea on paper. Sketching art multiple times helps the artist become more confident when creating the final piece. As creativity can be spontaneous it can also be birthed through preparation, which allows creativity to move. Like in sketching prior to creating the final piece, it is important to make sure you have all the materials beforehand. This step allows artists to continuously work, be more active and focused. Creativity thus becomes actioned though discipline and patience.
An artist can take many forms, it can be a way of gazing at the world and experiencing life through the senses. It is almost hyper focused, causing alertness to sights, sounds, smells, tastes and wonders of living. It can be like a sketch where both the dark and light traverse to form meaning.
As an artist, this step truly allows you to pour your heart and soul into your art. Every brush stroke and pencil mark represents your feelings, inspirations and LIFE. It truly breathes life into the art you create or see. As artists, we have the power to inspire people and make them feel every emotion or to delve into the subconscious thoughts.
In order, for people to feel your work you must be able to embrace your own feelings that may appear hidden below the surface.
To you what you may create can be through a singular experience, but to the person experiencing your art may see a connection with you on a common humanity. Building connections subconsciously through the act of conscience effort, is the essence of creation. It is captivating as well as liberating.
Overall, it is significant to keep the creativity alive within our routine lives because it enriches how we see, hear and experience life as we know it.
