Have you ever been truly yourself?
Self-love means accepting yourself wholeheartedly, despite your flaws. Believing that our imperfections make us unique and beautiful.
Ask yourself every day, are you really happy with yourself. Are you proud of your achievements and failures?
Sometimes life throws us under the bus with unforeseeable events where we have to make hard-hitting decisions. With time what I have learned is to not overthink anything. The more time you spend in your head, the more confused you’ll get.
Overthinking could have a negative impact on the people and environment around you. It prevents you to enjoy your present to the fullest. Comparison is one thing that could extremely effect your mental and physical health.
People often tend to compare themselves to other individuals (i.e. he/she has a better job, he/she is better looking, he/she is making more money, he/she is more happier than me.) All of these comparisons result in a negative mindset. Keeping this mindset makes living a lot more difficult because we are constantly thinking about how to be better than other people.
The goal should be how to better YOURSELF!
Every day we are making choices. Remember we do not choose the events that take place in our life, but we do choose our reactions.
Here is where being mindful comes into action. We must actively be aware of what is happening in our life. If we are not then our heart and mind are completely disconnected with one another and that results in immoral decision making which could result in poor self-esteem.
For a long time, my reactions always reflected through others’ choices. I would always think about peoples’ perception about me and that would always reflect how I perceived myself.
But with time, I realized that individuals have the power to cause pain and happiness, but you as a strong individual have the luxury to make a choice. A choice to remain calm, not overreact or not react at all. The goal is to have a physical and mental balance.
Nobody knows your story, so don’t bother to justify!
Self-doubt is an enemy. Based on peoples’ illusions, we begin to think we are not enough. Then, we start stressing, overworking, overthinking and that is where depression and anxiety kicks in.
What matters is how you perceive yourself, rest is just external noise waiting to erupt.
Lastly, fall, take risks, make mistakes, but always learn along the way. Remember we are always moving forward in some way. Sometimes we could see it, sometimes it’s all a blur.
Don’t be judgmental towards yourself. Allow yourself to break-free!
Build a creative, physical and career driven lifestyle that will always keep you healthy, imaginative, intelligent and financially stable.
Keep Going! You’re doing just fine!
